Comcast Launching Pac-12 Networks in Summer 2012

Next summer, Comcast will bring more of the excitement, traditions and collegiate powerhouses of the Pac-12 Conference to our customers. Today, the Pac-12 Conference announced the creation of Pac-12 Networks, which will include a national network and six regional networks. Comcast, along with three of the nation's other largest cable operators (Time Warner Cable, Cox, and Brighthouse) are the first to reach an agreement to carry the networks.

We are thrilled to have reached this agreement with the Pac-12 to carry hundreds of live events for fans of the conference and college athletics starting in the summer of 2012. We're particularly excited about the terrific value this deal will deliver to our customers, including bringing more live local sports on television, more on demand, and the Pac-12's terrific content online so fans can keep up-to-date on their favorite college teams at home or on the go.

Comcast already serves as the home for the most live sports on TV and online. With over 550 live events at the outset and over 850 within the next few years, plus the carriage of numerous Pac-12 games on ESPN networks and FOX, Comcast will be the place for Pac-12 fans to watch their favorite team in action.

We are excited that this arrangement will provide additional quality programming for college sports fans around the country and are looking forward to working with our partners to bring more of the Pac-12 to our customers.

I have an idea for a slogan for the new Pac-12 network channel:

"All HUSKY wins, all the time!"

...'cause you KNOW that's what it's gonna be. :-)

I am going to enjoy being able to watch a lot more of the "other" college sports that don't have the glamour of the big 2. Being able to see baseball, soccer and rowing events will be Comcastic!
