A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Comcast's New VOD Delivery Network
Most people probably don't think twice when they press the "Watch this program or channel" button on the Xfinity On Demand menu screen and their selections immediately start playing. But at Comcast, there's a team of engineers focused on making sure our network can deliver tens of thousands of VOD titles instantly to customers across the country. This week's issue of Multichannel News takes a behind-the-scenes look at the innovative video on demand platform our engineers have built. This platform is delivering an incredible amount of VOD choices to customers today, but more importantly it's the foundation that will let us continue to offer new products that are even more personal, fun and engaging.
