Welcome to the Xbox 360, Comcast!

I'd like to introduce myself and thank J T. and the Comcast team for having me as a guest on Comcast Voices. I'm Larry Hryb from Microsoft, also known to Xbox fans as "Major Nelson." As Tony Werner unveiled on here earlier today, we're thrilled to welcome Xfinity TV to Xbox LIVE and bring thousands of movies, TV shows and videos from its On Demand service to the Xbox 360 console.

I've been in the gaming industry for years and can't believe how much the Xbox 360 has evolved — with Xbox LIVE, our entertainment network, we made it more social and delivered more entertainment choices to Xbox users, and with Kinect, we made it even more interactive and engaging. And now, by partnering with Comcast, we're taking it a step further and giving gamers and their families more ways to experience the Xfinity On Demand service they know and love, on a platform that brings a truly unique way to consume it — with just the wave of your hand or the sound of your voice!

On behalf of the entire team, welcome to the Xbox 360, Comcast!

Any ideas what the anticipated launch date for this update will be? I use a TiVo box now, so I don't use the OnDemand feature simply because I don't get it. This is going to be a GREAT addition to my gaming loft, and I can't wait for the holidays!
