Cathy Avgiris

I'm responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Xfinity Internet, Xfinity Voice and our consumer wireless businesses.

In my expanded role, I manage the nation's largest broadband Internet service and the largest competitive voice provider to the phone companies. In addition, I lead the new consumer offers with Verizon Wireless and oversee the growing number of Xfinity WiFi hotspots. I also manage Comcast's Internet Essentials program, which provides low-cost Internet service to low-income families.

I love what I do because it's truly an ever-evolving industry. It's really exciting to think of all the ways we've been able to increase Internet speeds and reinvent the traditional phone service. And there's always competition which means my job is to stay ahead of the game and offer products and services no other provider can. It's all about innovation, convergence, and now, also all about mobility...

Outside of Comcast, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons and participating in the mentoring program run by the Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) Philadelphia chapter. I also love to cook and travel — especially to visit family in Greece, but I have a suitcase and will travel anywhere!
