As a trained lawyer, blogging seems antithetical to everything I was taught in law school. Then again, when I was in law school most Americans hadn't surfed the web yet and the notion that we would be using broadband in our homes was only an idea in some CableLabs DOCSIS spec. Over the past two years I've been helping Comcast develop its broadband strategy, so I thought it was time to join the blogosphere. I've been with Comcast since 2006, working first on our wireless strategy, and then more recently on our broadband policy. In other words, I joined Comcast to work on a small "start-up" project, and now I find myself helping to develop broadband regulatory policy for the largest ISP in America - and I'm definitely not complaining. It's great being on the cutting edge of some of the most important tech issues being debated in public policy circles. I work with a great team of engineers, business folks, and lawyers who teach me something new almost every day.

Before coming to Comcast, I was a lawyer for Willkie Farr & Gallagher, where I practiced telecommunications law for almost 10 years. When I'm not working, I support Georgetown University and all things Hoyas. I’m also a big fan of the National Archives and its foundation (I was a fan even before the movie National Treasure came out). I'm also excited (freaked out) about the birth of my first child in a few weeks. Wish me luck...
