David Jensen

I am “the international guy” at Comcast Cable. For now, I live in a beautiful historic town not far from where I work at Comcast headquarters in downtown Philadelphia. I grew up in a small town in Western Colorado, but went to high school in Australia and law school in England. Along the way, I learned French, German and Spanish, so it was a natural for me to take on the international programming role at Comcast. If the programming is ethnic, from overseas or in a foreign language, I’m responsible for it. (Best countries recently visited: Bosnia, Croatia, anywhere in Asia.) I’m a 15-year cable veteran; my boss says I have the best job at Comcast, and he’s right. (Travel secrets: I’m a Blackberry guy not a laptop guy, use ear plugs for air travel noise pollution, run a lot, outside if you can, load all the good music from your kids’ iTunes site onto your iPod, drink small amounts of really good coffee, Cuban if you can get it, stay away from red meat and take along a great book for when the jetlag is winning. By the way, best recent book: The Cold War, by John Lewis Gaddis).

When not working on ethnic content or traveling, I stick close to home: a rambling, 120-year-old house I am (slowly) renovating. Gardening (that’s my new dogwood tree in the picture) and running keep me sane, golf drives me nuts; if you just quit playing golf, does it make you a bad person?
