Jay Opperman

I grew up, as I like to say, a river rat in Dubuque, Iowa on the Big Mississippi. As a kid, I spent my summer days at our cabin and on the river in Northeast Iowa, camping on sandbars, fishing, and water skiing.

At Comcast, I develop and implement customer security strategies, products, and services for Comcast's High Speed Internet, Digital Voice, and Video offerings. I also manage the Customer Security Assurance team that responds to real time security threats.

In my spare time, I love being outdoors, camping, fishing, boating and my hobbies include doing my own home remodeling, and a little wood working on the side.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering from Devry Institute of Technology in Chicago and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology.
