Kevin O'Toole

They say you should do something you enjoy. By that measure I may have the best job at Comcast because I love building new businesses. As SVP of Product Management & Strategy for Business Services, my job is to harness our company’s amazing capabilities and turn them into products that help our business customers become more profitable and productive.

I started working on biz services in 2004 when it was tiny — just handful of “intrapreneurs” trying to figure out a new business. In a very real way we were a start-up company within the larger Comcast organization. Like any start-up we had to win financial backing, determine our target market, develop sales channels, deploy our first products…and make a ton of mistakes figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Today we employ thousands of people in all disciplines and are growing quickly. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and our best days are ahead. There’s so much opportunity the hard part is choosing what things we’re not going to do.

Outside of work I love spending time with my family biking, hiking & going to the beach. I’m a financial news & investing junkie – CNBC is always-on – who occasionally considers becoming a certified financial planner…but that will have to wait because this is just too much fun…
