Loree D. Jones

Loree D. Jones is Co-Executive Director of City Year Greater Philadelphia, a non-profit organization that unites young people for a year of full time service providing them with skills and opportunities to change the world. From 2002 to 2008, she served as Managing Director, Secretary of External Affairs and First Deputy Managing Director of the City of Philadelphia. As Managing Director, she served as Philadelphia's chief operating officer with oversight of more than 15 departments and offices, nearly 20,000 employees, and a budget of $3.2 billion. Loree served as Executive Director of the African Studies Association, the largest scholarly association for the study of Africa in the world.

Loree serves on the Board of Project H.O.M.E., the Committee of Seventy and Health Partners. She is a member of the Urban League and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Loree traveled to South Africa in 2007, on an Eisenhower Fellowship. She was the recipient of the Urban League's Young Leader Award and was identified as one of "10 People Under 40 to Watch" by the Philadelphia Tribune. She was identified as a Connector and Emerging Connector by Leadership Philadelphia.

Jones holds a B.A. from Spelman College and an M.A. from Princeton University.
