Marsali Hancock

As president of iKeepSafe.org, Marsali Hancock interviews regularly with major media outlets on digital citizenship issues (safety, security and ethics/responsibility). Recent speaking engagements include: moderating a panel at the Family Online Safety Institute’s Online Safety Conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Yahoo Digital Citizenship Conference, University of Maryland’s C3 Conference, Project Safe Childhood, Missing & Exploited Children National Task Force. Ms Hancock is a member of Egypt’s Cyber Peace Initiative with First Lady Suzanne Mubarak. She was invited by the East-West Institute to participate in its First Worldwide Cybersecurity Summit and is a member of the world’s digital infrastructure. She’s also a member UN’s International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Child Online Protection Group (COP). She received the 2009 Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) Award for Outstanding Achievement and was a panelist and moderator at FOSI’s 2009 conference.

When she’s not out making the world safer for children, Ms Hancock enjoys violin performance and appears regularly with a local orchestra and chamber groups. An avid gardener of vegetables and flowers, she enjoys cooking with fresh herbs, and traveling with her children.
