Bill Gerth

Most of you all know me as @ComcastBill on Twitter and also now as @Comcastcares as well. What you don’t know about me is that I have been working for Comcast since 2006 where I started in our Business department doing tech support for our business customers. This was a great experience as I got to work directly with the customers and resolve their issues quickly. After about a year and a half of working with the business tech support group I had an opportunity to be part of our digital care initiative. I did not know it at the time, but this new team would change the way companies view social media and customer service. In the years since working in the social media field I can’t even tell you how great it feels to interact with our customers on a personal level every day. I have met so many great people since working on this team with the majority of them being our customers.

On another note I am recently married to my wife Jennifer and also just bought our first home together. We have no kids as of right now but our dog “Riley” who is a Jug (Jack Russell and a Pug) makes up for the no kids part. I enjoy pretty much anything you can do outdoors especially trail ridding on our quad. I guess you can say I am an outdoors men, and probably the only guy who likes to do yard work. I am very passionate about soccer. Teaching the youth the game is the best thing in the world to me. In my spare time, I am also a licensed PIAA and FIFA referee and trainer.
